Prolegomena

As you came to my photography weblog, I would like to wish you a warm welcome and an enjoyable stay.

The reason the art of photography fascinated me is that it represents the way we see us and the world we live in as pictures created by light. Etymologically, the word photography comes from the Greek „φωτο” (photo) and „γραφία” (graphia) and it means „drawing with light”. Basically, this is the art of God; we can only treasure it and capture a glimpse of what it meant for us at the time of perception.

This web space is a simple reminder of my perception on different landscapes, sites and people. As going through hundreds of films taken since 1992 could be quite difficult, I will resume my posts to my “digital photography ages”.
